The former Department for Juvenile Justice complex was turned into the new Bluegrass Community and Technical College System (BCTC) and will be used for future growth and program offerings. The facility houses laboratory space, science classrooms, administrative/faculty offices, and other auxiliary spaces. Major energy efficiency measures for the project include: multi stac high efficiency heat recovery chillers, strobic lab exhaust fans, acid waste DWV system, BAC cooling tower, and phoenix valves.
